It wasn’t love at first sight for Thai-German actor and model Kimberley Anne Woltemas and fellow Thai actor Mark Prin Suparat, as she describes their romance as a good ol’ slow burn. After multiple occurrences of working on the same project—Woltemas quips that “a spark was felt” by the third time they were paired together—the ‘friends-turned-lovers’ made it down the aisle last September after nine years of dating.

And it was a beautiful wedding held on the idyllic grounds of Lake Como. “Mark wanted a location that you could see the mountains and lakes, so we decided on Lake Como. It was a great opportunity to take our family there for a family moon after because Italy is so beautiful, with lots of good food to discover. And when I saw Villa Bonomi, I just knew I wanted to get married there,” says Woltemas.

Sure enough, a villa with 11 rooms seemed like the perfect choice for the Thai-German star, who had family as the main priority. A property that could house close family members and for her to have the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all in one place.

“I wanted something really classic,” muses Woltemas on the overall inspiration of her big day. “That if I looked back in ten years, I wouldn’t second-guess it. So I wanted to choose something that would be timeless and elegant.” The couple engaged an Italian wedding planner who owned ‘I Do in Lake Como’ to be at the helm of all preparations, for an intimate affair with a guest list of 70 people.

Woltemas, who is a Dior ambassador naturally slipped into the house’s ethereal custom creations for her wedding ceremony and pre-celebrations. The crème de la crème, her main ceremonial gown, took about six months to be completed. “I chose my favourite out of the various sketches that Maria did and every time I went for a fitting, I cried. Because even while incomplete, the dress looked so beautiful, so delicate and everything I ever dreamed of.” Every step was tailor-made to Woltemas’s preferences, with comfort being a key consideration for the bride-to-be. “I’m crazy about pockets so every dress Dior made for me had pockets in them!” exclaims the actor.

Crafted with lace and embroidery in a long-sleeved voluminous gown, Woltemas was a picture-perfect vision as she walked down the aisle ensheathed in an extra-long veil. She remembers that exact moment to be the highlight from the multi-day wedding extravaganza. “I saw Mark and everybody that was there for us. It turned out to be a quick walk because I couldn’t wait to go say my vows.”

The skies were in agreement as well, especially since it was just raining the day before during their rehearsal dinner. “It was actually hot, but I wasn’t sweating because it was slightly windy. Everything was perfect,” beams Woltemas.

Below, she takes Vogue Singapore through the course of her breathtaking Lake Como wedding—from the pre-wedding to the after-party.

We shot our pre-wedding photographs a few days before the big day, on a boat across Lake Como.

I chose to wear something fitting of the Italian coast, a dress from Dior.

Fun fact: this was one of my favourite shots. It was taken from our balcony hotel room; it took us literally two minutes for this shot and I didn’t even know there was a bird. It was magical!

For our rehearsal dinner, I wanted something light and breezy that was easy to move around in, so I chose this Dior spring/summer 2023 dress and paired it with a pair of Dior custom-made nude pumps.

Always a yes when it comes to Aperol spritz. It’s Italy!

I wanted something romantic and edgy with a splash of colour when it came to the rehearsal dinner, and our wedding planner who was based in Lake Como certainly delivered on that.

It was so nice having our family and close friends fly in for this special occasion. It was already emotional.

A special pair of Dior heels that has a place in my heart: my wedding shoes that would take me down the aisle.

In good hands with my trusty glam squad, they are also like family to me.

My best girls and I. Wouldn’t be as perfect without them.

Mark chose a tailor-made Tom Ford ivory suit for our big day.

He was definitely excited.

I wanted to get married in something classic and timeless. A dress that I could look back after decades and still fall in love with it again—and Dior made it all happen.

Nawaphon P.

It was sunny yet windy, which definitely added to the movement of my custom-made veil by Dior, one that I requested to be extra long. A breathtaking moment.

This was a precious, unforgettable moment for me, after walking down the aisle and seeing Mark waiting at the end.

With my two brothers, who walked me down the aisle.

My handsome groom.

We were both trying not to cry at this point.

Happy day, happy tears!

Mark got me this ring before the wedding, a six carat round-cut diamond that symbolises our love eternally, with no beginnings and ends.

Our first kiss as husband and wife.

Another one, with the weather on our side.

Time to catch the bouquet!

Our beautiful table setting. We brought the napkins and menu charts from Thailand.

A quick change into my reception dress—another creation from Dior. Something breezier and easier to move around in. I especially love the scoop-detailing at the back and the small ring to hold on to while dancing.

A bolder lip for the night and a change of veil—a Dior birdcage headband.

Ready to party!

It was an emotional, moving day and we wanted something uplifting and fun to dance to. Our first dance as husband and wife was to Arctic Monkeys’s ‘Baby I’m Yours’.
